About Me
I make no claim on expertise, just on interest.
I am a big fan of public archaeology. That is to say the promotion of public interest and informed discussion about the past. I won’t bore you with some tired old quote about not knowing something and therefore being doomed to a life a repetitive behaviour- but it’s true.
So here I am, writing a bog. Which, to paraphrase Ben “Yahtzee” Croshaw, is sort of like throwing a message in a bottle into a sea full of other bottles. Still, it’s good practice.
I am a student at heart and an archaeologist by trade. I have worked in a few different places in Central America, the U.S.A, and Canada. The most fun I have with archaeology (besides the field) is writing about the complexity of it. Hence this blog.
I’m a giant nerd, so expect to read a bunch of nerdy pop culture references, as well as the occasional references to physics and biology (most of which will likely be wrong).
I hope you enjoy it.
